Sawchuk: Since 1981 building excellence

446 West Avenue, Kelowna BC

Completed in 2007, this high end condominium project was presented with the Gold Tommie Award for Excellence in Creating an Interior Feature in a Home for the floating glass stairs in the penthouses.

Listening to our clients vision and working within their budget constraints, we were able to provide additional unique features such as acid etched concrete slabs, glass deck guards without top rails, firepit tables, specialty lighting, custom fireplace surrounds and distinctive doors and hardware.

This building consisted of 9 suites and an above ground concrete parkade, all constructed over a mono poured raft slab designed to deal with the sites proximity to Okanagan Lake and the associated soil conditions. Structural steel was incorporated to carry additional loads brought about by the expansive penthouse roof top patios and cantilevered staircases. Vaulted ceilings, media rooms, ensuites with separate soaker tubs and showers and commercial windows were all features which made this project a truly exceptional example of the multifaceted services that our firm can provide.
